Faculty and Staff Honored at Appreciation Reception

The faculty and staff of Hardin-Simmons University were recently honored at the Appreciation Reception held on May 12. The luncheon was held to recognize all of the members of HSU for their hard work and service to the university. The event included door prize drawings, the presentation of service pins to those who haved worked for HSU for 20-40 years, and the announcement of the faculty and staff members of the year.

The nominees for the Faculty and Staff Member of the Year were based on the employee’s service and commitment to the college.

Dr. Richard Traylor won the Faculty Member of the Year. He joined the history faculty of HSU in 2003 to teach Early America. He has also taught survey courses, upper-division courses, and a First Year Seminar.

The winner of the Staff Member of the Year was Grant Greenwood. Greenwood is an alumnus of Hardin-Simmons and serves the Director of Recruiting and Admissions.
